The Community Food Drive, held in Decatur, Illinois, is celebrating it’s 12th successful year of collecting monetary and food donations for Catholic Charities.
The annual food drive is held in the Mt. Zion Kroger parking lot, where thousands of pounds of food are gathered to fill a large truck to feed the hungry. The WSOY radio station covers the event, taking phone and in-person monetary donations, with prizes and guest speakers throughout the day.
The Decatur Back and Neck Center is proud to have been a corporate sponsor since the Community Food Drive’s inception 12 years ago.
We encourage individuals and businesses to help come together to support those in need in our community by dropping off food donations on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 6am – 6pm, calling (217) 875-3350 to make a donation via phone, or text 91011 to donate via text.
